Available CoursesIn desktop publishing, students will use Word, Publisher, and InDesign to design various documents and products including logos, business cards, a children's book, a short magazine, a series of restaurant menus, and a picture collage, among others. It is a class to let your creativity shine! There is lots of independent work. Students will explore entrepreneurship and all aspects of business in this course. Some assignments will be turned in through use of this online module Accounting IB is a continuation of 1st semester accounting. Students will learn more about special journals, posting to ledgers, and accounting work for corporations and partnerships. A simulation will be done at the end of the semester to use all topics learned in a more "real" setting. 8th Grade Tech Apps will integrate computer skills in spreadsheets, word processing, desktop publishing, database, internet, and PowerPoint into lessons about careers. Students will learn how to design websites using html and xhtml code following basic design principles. This course includes: Work Study Programs, Career Seminar, Career Applications College prep writing course designed to prepare juniors and seniors for college-level writing.
